It was cool to draw in the sand in Jeremy's class last night. the sand represents our bodies and the as we draw in them that is what God does for us…. he imprints us with his design. All the symbols in that class were really eye opening.

I agree and that is something we can actually do at home.  Buy one of those “zen ” gardens and a candle and during meditation draw a symbol and discuss with God.  Like the fish symbol and how it was used to identify other Christians without being caught.

Jeremy's information is always so enlightening.Smile

I really enjoyed Jeremy's presentation, too.  I grew up in a very charismatic, free church environment, which was great!  But it left me really desiring some tradition and sacred rituals in my worship, even just in my alone time with God.  As an adult I have been drawn to these things as a way to mark special times such as holidays, etc.  It really seems to be a great complement to the freedom we enjoy in our normal daily walk and weekly corporate worship.  I think both are important!

Brad and I are trying to find some ways to incorporate some symbolism and sacred times into our home, whether it's just to mark holidays, or more regularly.

If Brad shows up to church wearing a rope belt and brown robes though, you'll know we've gone too far!! Wink
