I thought this would be a good place to have some discussions on Lent. Our church is only 2 years into participating in this season and this year I have recieved some really interesting comments and questions that have intriqed me. Like Christmas and Easter there are questions about it's orgins and like many church calendar dates there are some uneasy Roman Catholic similarities that bring some doubt and confussion. As a modern expression of the faith, VCC has our own traditions and methods as are on our journey and this is one of them we are forging.
